Last Night Young Jeezy turned the Midtown Arts Cinema into TM 103 Theaters as he filled up both theaters to screen his Documentary “Hustlerz Ambition” which was shot by director Chris Robinson & and narrated by Samuel L Jackson. Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition is the upcoming fourth studio album by American rapper Young Jeezy, set to be released on December 20, 2011 through Corporate Thugz Enterainment, and Def Jam Recordings. The album has been delayed for nearly two years, missing several purported release dates which have all been denied by representatives from Def Jam Records: however, despite these setbacks, Young Jeezy himself has confirmed the album has definitely been completed. The album marks the third album in his Thug Motivation series, after Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 (2005), and The Inspiration (2006).

Thug Motivation History

After initially being announced in 2009, the 103 Jeezy album has been delayed for nearly two years and missed several release dates attached to it, including June 2010, August 2010, December 2010, and July 26, 2011 – exactly six years to the release date of his debut studio album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101. Def Jam Records representatives have since declared these rumours false: however, Young Jeezy announced through the social networking site Twitter that the album was definitely completed, although at the time a release date – genuine or not – was not attached to the album. The date given was, in fact, the day after Young Jeezy was due to perform the whole of his aforementioned debut album at New York City’s Highline Ballroom, on the sixth anniversary of the release of the album. During the show on July 25, 2011, he announced that Thug Motivation 103 would be released on September 20, 2011. However, Young Jeezy has since revealed that the album’s release date is December 20, 2011. On November 7, 2011, Young Jeezy confirmed that Ne-Yo, Snoop Dogg, Plies, Drake, Bun B, Jadakiss, Jill Scott, Fabolous, T.I. Andre 3000, Jay-Z, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa and Eminem are going to be featured on the album.

Motivation 103 Singles

The album’s first single, “Lose My Mind”, was released as a digital download on March 30, 2010. The song is produced by American record producer Drumma Boy, and features fellow American rapper Plies. The song peaked at number thirty-five on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, number six on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number three on the Hot Rap Songs chart. The song was nominated for Best Rap Performance By Duo or Group at the 53rd Grammy Awards. During 2010, two more singles were released from the album: “All White Everything”, featuring fellow American rapper Yo Gotti on July 3, 2010, and “Jizzle”, featuring Lil Jon, on August 3, 2010. The songs peaked at number eighty-two and number sixty-nine on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart respectively: however, neither song appears on the final tracklisting.

“Ballin’” was released off the Motivation 103 Jeezy as a digital download in the United States on May 17, 2011. The song features fellow American rapper Lil Wayne, and is produced by American producer Lil’ Lody. The song peaked at number fifty-seven on the Billboard Hot 100, number fifteen on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number thirteen on the Rap Songs chart. The music video, directed by Colin Tilley, was officially released on July 9, 2011. However, in the aforementioned Hot 97 interview, Young Jeezy revealed that the song was not a single from the album, although the song is still set to be included on the album. In the same interview, Young Jeezy revealed the album’s second single, titled “Shake Life”: the song was later premiered during the show. It was released to the internet on July 22, 2011, and was later released to iTunes as a digital download on August 2, 2011. The song features production, again, from record producer Lil’ Lody. The song features a sample from the Toto song “Georgy Porgy”. The song debuted at number seventy-six on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart in the United States for the week ending August 6, 2011. Since then it has peaked at number forty-six. “F.A.M.E.”, featuring rapper T.I., was released as the album’s third single on October 11, 2011. On November 1, 2011, “.38″ was released as a single off the album. It is produced by Lil’ Lody. The most anticipated track “I Do” featuring Jay-Z and Andre 3000 was leaked online on November 18, 2011.

Eminem and Jim Jonsin are working together with Yelawolf, for his debut studio album ‘Radioactive‘, which will be released on Interscope and Shady Records. On April 14, Yelawolf revealed that he will release his upcoming album during early September, producers include Eminem, Jim Jonsin, KP, Travis Barker, Chuck Inglish, Diplo, The Audibles, Pooh Bear and WillPower (SupaHot Beats).

On May 18, Yelawolf announced his first single off Radioactive will be titled ‘Gangsta of Love’, featuring Cyhi Da Prynce. On June 10, Yelawolf revealed the release date of Radioactive in London, England before his first performance, saying that it will be released in October 25. In July 1 ‘Gangsta of Love’ was leaked, it only features vocals by Cyhi Da Prynce in the outro of the song. The song was produced by Jim Jonsin. On July 7, Yelawolf announced that the leaked unfinished version of ‘Gangsta of Love’, won’t be the first single anymore and it won’t make the final cut on the album.

Yelawolf also partnered up with the video game Driver: San Francisco to put out a new music video for his song ‘No Hands’ from his upcoming Radioactive album. The video was filmed in San Francisco, California, directed by Erick Peyton, known for directing Snoop Dogg’s video of ‘That Tree’ which features Kid Cudi. The video was produced by Complex Magazine.

On November 2010, Drake revealed the title of his next studio album would be Take Care. In comparison to his debut album Drake revealed to Y.C Radio 1 that Thank Me Later was a rushed album, stating, “I didn’t get to take the time that I wanted to on that record. I rushed a lot of the songs and sonically I didn’t get to sit with the record and say, ‘I should change this verse.’ “Once it was done, it was done. That’s why my new album is called Take Care because I get to take my time this go-round.” Drake mentioned after OVO Fest 2011 that Take Care could have up to 18 songs on it, and added that Stevie Wonder contributed to the creative direction of the album and will be featured on the album as well. Drake also revealed that the album was recorded mainly in Toronto. Some producers that were revealed to be working with Drake on Take Care other than Noah “40″ Shebib (who is the main producer of the album) include T-Minus, Jamie Smith from The xx, and Boi-1da (who is a long-time Drake collaborator). He had initially recruited 9th Wonder for the album. He even appeared on 9th’s documentary The Wonder Year and expressed his desire to make a number one hit with him. However, in an interview about a month prior to the slated release date, 9th said that he was not on the Drake “Take Care” album download. 9th states that part of the reason was because he was going through an A&R and playing beats for them as opposed to the artist himself, which he is opposed to. Drake had also planned on having Q-Tip, DJ Premier, and The Neptunes produce on the album, but those projects fell through as well. Some artists that were confirmed to be collaborators with Drake on Take Care consist of Stevie Wonder, Kendrick Lamar, Chantal Kreviazuk, André 3000, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna. He had initially reached out to Phonte of the former group Little Brother, who is a major influence on his career. A track was made for Take Care but it did not make the album due to an issue with the producer. Drake admits in an interview to “dropping the ball” on the project and is optimistic about a future collaboration with Phonte.

The Westchester County-raised entertainer was taken by ambulance to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles about 11:25 a.m. and died 90 minutes later, cops told the Daily News. Heavy D Heavy loss for the Hip Hop community.

Heavy D was conscious and talking when officers responded to a 911 call from his Beverly Hills condo, said Lt. Mark Rosen of the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Rosen said the portly rapper, whose real name was Dwight Arrington Myers, was having difficulty breathing as paramedics rushed him to the hospital.

The performer had just returned from Europe and was battling pneumonia, KTLA news in Los Angeles reported.

Rosen said Heavy D had come home from a shopping trip Tuesday and began laboring for breath as he walked into his condo building.

“He collapsed in an exterior hallway,” Rosen said. “There doesn’t appear to be any foul play. We believe it was medically related.”

The actual cause of death is pending an autopsy. Heavy D Heavy loss for the Hip Hop community.

Born in Jamaica and raised in Mount Vernon, Heavy D rose to stardom in the 1990s as the frontman for Heavy D & the Boys.

He won a cameo role as a security guard in the just-released film “Tower Heist,” starring Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller.

“I’m definitely saddened by the loss of Heavy. He was a really good person,” said Damon Williams, vice president of programming for Music Choice, the multi-platform video and music network.

With catchy dance tunes that included R&B riffs, Heavy D was one of the first rappers to cross over to mainstream popularity, Williams said.

“But I don’t think he ever lost his credibility with the hard-core rap audience,” said Williams.

Other friends took to Twitter to express condolences.

“I am deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Heavy D. A longtime friend and a beautiful person,” wrote Russell Simmons.

LL Cool J tweeted, “May GOD embrace the soul of Heavy D and Bless his family. I respected you Heavy and I always will.”
